 Isaac J. Wannos is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediator and an experienced arbitrator with more than 20 years of experience handling complex civil litigation matters. His neutral practice focuses on personal injury, professional liability, medical malpractice, legal malpractice, securities law disputes, general liability, consumer disputes and other high-stakes civil disputes. As a longtime trial attorney who has represented both plaintiffs and defendants, Mr. Wannos brings extensive litigation experience, practical judgment, and a balanced perspective to the resolution of complex disputes.

Throughout his career, Mr. Wannos has represented clients in all aspects of civil litigation in both state and federal courts. He has successfully concluded hundreds of cases through trial, arbitration, mediation, or settlement, giving him a thorough understanding of the legal, financial, and practical considerations that affect the outcome of a case.

As a mediator, Mr. Wannos draws upon his extensive trial and litigation experience to help parties realistically evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of their cases, the risks associated with continued litigation, and the potential outcomes at trial. Having spent more than two decades litigating complex and often high-exposure matters, he understands the challenges faced by both sides of a dispute and the importance of identifying the issues that may stand between the parties and resolution.

Mr. Wannos approaches mediation with a focus on preparation, thoughtful evaluation, and effective communication. His experience in the courtroom allows him to assess cases from the perspective of a trial lawyer, including the evidence, credibility of witnesses, applicable law, potential jury considerations, damages, and the costs and risks associated with proceeding to trial. His goal is to help parties and counsel make informed decisions and identify practical solutions that allow them to resolve their disputes without the uncertainty and expense of continued litigation.

Mr. Wannos also serves as an arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association (AAA) and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). His arbitration experience includes securities-related customer claims as well as other complex civil disputes. As an arbitrator, he is committed to providing a fair, impartial, and efficient process guided by the evidence and applicable law. His extensive experience as a litigator and trial attorney provides him with a strong understanding of the importance of preparation, procedural fairness, and careful consideration of the issues presented by the parties.

Mr. Wannos's litigation background is particularly well suited to personal injury and professional liability disputes. He has handled matters involving catastrophic injuries, wrongful death and other claims involving significant damages and complex questions of liability. His experience representing defendants and their insurers, as well as his work involving individuals and businesses pursuing claims, provides him with an understanding of the competing interests and considerations that frequently influence the resolution of these cases.

Before establishing his neutral practice, Mr. Wannos spent more than two decades as a trial attorney. He began his legal career in Tampa, Florida, defending brokers in securities litigation. In 2007, he moved to West Palm Beach where he became a Partner in both a large litigation firm and a boutique professional liability/securities law firm. During his career,  he has appeared in state and federal courts throughout Florida and has handled matters through discovery, dispositive motions, mediation, arbitration, trial, and appeal. 

Mr. Wannos earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance, magna cum laude, from Florida State University and his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Florida Fredric G. Levin College of Law. He is admitted to practice in Florida and before the United States District Courts for the Middle, Northern, and Southern Districts of Florida, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.  In addition to being a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediator and on the arbitration panels of the American Arbitration Association and FINRA, he is also a member of The Florida Bar and the Palm Beach County Bar Association.
